Awakening Symptoms
Physical
It is natural to experience a variety of physical discomforts during this transition. Our bodies have the ability to store experiences from our past in our DNA. Shifting our attention to feeling each experience helps to release energies that no longer serve us. Breathing, mild exercise and drinking large amounts of water can ease this transition. Many people experience feeling ungrounded, lightheaded or disconnected from their body. Spend a day at the coast, in the mountains or at the desert. Your diet will naturally change to accommodate your new choices. Begin to trust that your body has its own intelligence and is working overtime to integrate your growing awareness. What, when and how you eat can change on a daily basis. Pay attention to how your body feels throughout your day.
Emotional
It is normal in any awakening process to experience a full spectrum of emotions. One day you might feel you’re on top of the world, full of energy, enthusiastic and joyful. 24 hours later, it might take every ounce of energy just to crawl out of bed. It’s important that you learn to observe your emotions from a sovereign heart and mind and allow all of these feelings to surface. It is very common to experience sadness, mood swings and periods of feeling depressed. Trust, acceptance and a very good sense of humor will ease this transition. Eventually, you begin to realize that your emotions do not represent how your soul "feels" or perceives life! They serve all the beliefs and conditions you inherited that support your conditioned human mind. Spiritual The awakening process naturally triggers a deep desire to return to the source of life. This long held yearning has been with you throughout all of creation. You can now fulfill this desire by allowing Spirit to come to you. The art of being in receivership transforms our relationship with Spirit, our Eternal self and all of life. Creativity In the past, our passion for life was fueled by pursuing, achieving, setting goals and fulfilling pre-determined agendas. It required a lot of hard work and effort. As you become accustomed to feeling the presence of your soul, you will discover a new joy that is supported by a sovereign heart and mind. You will discover the freedom to express yourself outside the conditions and parameters you inherited. |
Mental
The mind has felt responsible for your life for a long time. Changing this relationship requires a lot of patience. As you begin to shift how you use your past to define your identity, it is common to have short-term memory loss. Living with the presence of your soul has no history attached to it. Your mind becomes a witness to your new experience as it gathers information to re-create your identity. This is a very frustrating experience for the mind; it feels like your story is dissolving and it is. Integrating new choices into your life takes time. As you begin to embrace a new, sovereign identity, you will need to teach your mind how to serve that relationship. Relationships A self-empowered human being can challenge all of our personal relationships. Be gentle and patient with your self as you learn to respect, honor and value your self in a new way. New friends and companions will enter your life that respect your new choices. Employment A spiritual awakening invites us to place a greater value on our self. We begin to embrace a new freedom to express all of our heart-felt desires. This naturally changes how we feel about our work environment. You will discover new opportunities that will support your growing awareness. |
A spiritual awakening embraces change. All of these symptoms will pass in time, you will look back at all the choices you were willing to make for your self with a deep sense of appreciation and joy.
Embodiment
Our Eternal Self
Within the heart of our soul resides a sovereign, individuated facet of the source of life. This represents our divine nature, it's called our Eternal Self or the great I Am. Your Eternal Self embodies the gift of creation. It releases unlimited facets of itself into a variety of dimensions in order to experience countless variations of life for the mere joy of it. Picture this Eternal Self in the shape of a wheel. The essence of your Eternal Self resides at the hub. Countless spokes extend from the hub and connect to a point on an outer rim. This connection on that rim represents a variety of individuated facets or fragments of this Eternal Self. Each facet is called a soul. As a human being, we represent this Eternal Self as a soul. We can maintain our own unique identity while also feeling interconnected to our divine nature.
Through a variety of experiences and choices, the soul can experience life without feeling these spokes connected to our Eternal Self. The spokes themselves can be broken, but they can always be repaired. Your Eternal Self won’t interfere with whatever choice you make, but you can always choose to reconnect. A spiritual awakening invites our human self or personality, which represents our conditioned mind and emotions to embrace our true identity as a soul. As we expand our awareness, we begin to recognize that our soul and Eternal Self are also a facet of the Eternal One. We become aware of a variety of other individuated, yet interconnected facets of our Eternal Self. Each one resides on the rim of this wheel of life with their own unique relationship to the hub. The spoke represents an energetic connection with our Eternal Self, and the rim represents its multi-faceted and multi-dimensional nature.
Reuniting our Eternal Self with our human nature is the most fulfilling and challenging experience any human being can have. This profound choice offers the freedom to access a state of consciousness that will allow you to create your own experience without any conditions, agenda or effort.
